We had a seven hour sea and land voyage to Punto Ballo which is on the western edge of the Negros Island. Punto Ballo is known for having good diving and the Lonely Planet made the resorts sound affordable and comfortable (which they were). The snorkeling off the beach of Artistic Diving wasn’t spectucular but worth checking out. There was a swim-up bar in the small pool and we enjoyed our two days there.
