Loboc is a small city in the interior of Bohol. Nuts Huts is a collection of raised Nipa Huts just outside of that city in a secluded valley that guides a muddy river away from its waterfall 600 meters downstream. The cliffs were steep and we had to scale a long stairway and traverse a rutty jeep trail to make it back to the main road. We saw the Chocolate Hills from this location and attempted, without success, to see the tarsiers twice.
The interior of Bohol Island is really striking. We rented a bike for two days and were able to see a lot of the countryside. We also swam down the river, through the valley, and spent some time under a 10 foot waterfall. We also made a great group of friends here, and one who continued to Camiguin with us, Jay.
