Impressions

 

Thailand has A LOT to offer any traveler. If you like interesting cities, nice people, beaches, shopping, hiking, animals, history, culture, clubbing, drinking, relaxing, backpacking, posh living, whatever it might be ... Thailand can dish it out. I think the cuisine here is the best in Asia, and the western food is usually convincing. Traveling between cites is made easy with the excellent bus system, accommodation is affordable, and internet is readily available.

I would suggest Thailand as a great introduction to Asia for a first time traveler. It must be good for families as well because we’ve seen a lot of them at markets and popular sites. The culture here is very welcoming.

 

The country gets some bad press because of the economic tension between the rich and poor, but most of these demonstrations that make headlines internationally, are contained in specific areas and shouldn’t dissuade any prospective traveler from giving Thailand a chance.
