What We Learned

 

- A 5 minute taxi ride on this island is like $6 (200 Baht) !!! ... Rent a scooter or car as soon as possible if you plan on traveling around.

 

- Be careful! ... The driving is not laid back on this island.

 

- Try to find a supermarket to but food ... Or ask the locals where they eat to save money.

 

- Drugs are available on the beaches but exercise a lot of caution because the fine for being caught is around $3000!

 

 

Rachel and I invited all of our friends and family to visit us in Koh Samui for our Wedding Week! ... We had never visited the island before but had heard good things and had an amazing time. It was so great to see everyone and we joke that our wedding was one of “the most documented” occasions in history. People just taking pictures of people taking pictures. Ha!

Aside from our amazing villa and family and friends, the island was OK. The prices are much higher than mainland Thailand and a couple beach towns have a seedy vibe to them. Our area at Bohput was one of the nicest beaches, especially than the more popular Chewang Beach.
