Wow! What an amazing surprise! We were looking forward to visiting Laos but almost every aspect of it exceeded our expectations.

 

The people are very friendly. The sales tactics are passive. The children play in the streets instead of beg in them. The Western, Indian, street, cafe, and Laos food we ate there was absolutely delicious, and without a doubt, the best value we’ve experienced so far. The local goods for sale have high quality and value, so does the accommodation. The land is beautiful. The beer is tasty and cheap. There are loads of outdoor activities to get involved in and the cities are pleasant.

 

We feel like Laos is a seriously under-appreciated travel destination in Southeast Asia. We have nothing negative to say about it.
